For the first time ever, the coffee industry has decided to join forces on the fight against cancer. The Make Coffee Stronger Than Cancer campaign was created by Sprudge and the Department of Brewology. They have invited any coffee-related business (or any business for that matter!) to raise funds during the month of October for a cancer charity of their choice. Their recommended organization is the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, but they encourage you to pick any charity that speaks to you and your company.
"Here at Clive, cancer has unfortunately affected all of us as individuals. But it has also affected us as a team," says Adam Raper, CEO. "We lost one of our own employees at a very young age to cancer last year and so this campaign is deeply personal and important to us. Joining forces with the coffee industry makes us feel stronger and more powerful than doing this on our own, so we plan to support the Make Coffee Stronger Than Cancer campaign for years to come!"
