Home espresso is a big investment. We want to make sure that you are 100% in love with your new setup. You have 30 days to return your machine to us without risk. While we can't pay for the shipping on the way back if you change your mind (we absolutely will if there is a problem), we can make the rest of the process as easy as possible.

Shipping & returns

Free shipping on orders over $75.

Returns are accepted up to 30 days from the date the order was delivered. Smallware items must be unused. Parts are non-returnable. Open Box, Like New, and Factory Blem items are also non-returnable.

Need to Know

General Details:

  • Service will begin within 2 business days of your appointment and the repair completion timeline will be communicated to you. 
  • A $60 deposit is required to schedule an appointment. This will be deducted from your repair invoice.  If the repair is 100% covered under warranty, this $60 will be refunded to you upon completion of the warranty repair.

Repair Details:

  • Hourly rate: $120/hr, billed in 30-minute Increments (unless covered by warranty).
  • What we repair: Machines and grinders that we sell.
  • What we do not repair: Machines and grinders that we do not sell or that have been modified (adding of a PID, etc.). Breville machines and grinders (please contact the manufacturer for warranty and repair support).

Tune-up Package Details:

  • If you'd like to take advantage of a tune-up package, please request which one you'd like us to perform on your intake form that you will be sent after checkout. Packages are as follows:
    • General Tune-up: Standard group head gasket and dispersion screen replacement, general cleaning, and testing of all functions of the machine. $139-152, price dependent on make/model of machine.
    • Advanced Machine Tune-up: Usually, done within the 3-5yr period of a machine, but can vary by usage and water quality. This comes with all items in general tune-up + vacuum breaker, safety valve, and expansion valve seat replacement, fill probe, temperature probe(s) and flowmeter cleaned (if applicable to the machine). $255-267, price dependent on make/model of machine.
    • Grinder Deep Clean + Dial-in: We remove the burrs, clean the grinder, and re-dial in (for applicable grinders). $120.

Note: Any parts and labor outside the scope of the tune-up services will incur additional costs.

Drop-off and Shipping Details:

  • Please have your equipment dropped off the day prior to your appointment.
  • You may drop it off up to two weeks in advance, Wednesday through Sunday, 10 am to 5 pm.
  • If you are shipping your machine, please account for transit time.
  • The customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with sending the machine to Clive as well as the return shipping (if repair is covered by warranty, return shipping is covered by Clive).
  • The customer is responsible for damages incurred in shipping. We have draining and repackaging instructions for many machines. Original packaging is highly recommended.
  • Insurance for shipping machines is strongly recommended in the event that the machine gets damaged on its way to Clive.
  • Return shipping is not available for local drop-offs unless confirmed before the drop-off time.
  • Warranty repairs will be shipped via UPS Ground at no charge upon completion of repair back to the customer.
  • Billable repairs will be shipped with subsidized shipping that will be added to the final invoice.

Rescheduling, cancellations, and no-shows:

  • Appointments can be rescheduled or canceled up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment date. Please contact support@clivecoffee.com to cancel or reschedule. Rescheduling or canceling your appointment less than 24 hours before your appointment date will result in forfeiting the $60 deposit and a new appointment will need to be booked.
  • If your machine or grinder is not in our showroom by the day before your appointment, your appointment will be canceled, your $60 deposit will be forfeited, and you will have to reschedule for the next available appointment. You will be required to pay another $60 deposit.
    • For Tuesday appointments, please drop units off by the Sunday before your appointment, as our showroom is closed on Mondays.

Note: After checkout, you will receive an email with our intake form. Please complete this form so that we have all the necessary information and parts to prepare for your repair.
