I was asked to leave

I was asked to leave a review regarding the portafilter I purchased for a gift. I was told the handle is very well done.. the basket works as expected. It holds around 20gram of coffee grounds.the finish on the portafilter is NOT well finished. For the price paid one would expect a very nice finish. Just relaying the message I'm not the one using it.

Overall, fantastic portafilter! The quality

Overall, fantastic portafilter! The quality is good as usual with Lucca products. The only thing that surprised me was that the weight was pretty front heavy vs the non wood bottomless version. However, it is a beautiful wood accent and works great!

Perfect Craftsmanship, Worth every dollar

Fantastic quality, extremely smooth and I love using this! I will note that I got it for the Lucca A53 mini, and the triple basket it came with was the older, 2024 model which does NOT fit into the A53 mini. Thankfully customer service had sent over the new, 2025 model triple basket along with this, so I just had to swap them out and we are good to go!!

The build and quality of

The build and quality of this portafilter is very nice and I am very happy with. The only thing I was not happy with was how it fit into my machine. I have the La Spaziale Dream T and the fit was off. The portafilter fits too tight into the machine. At first I didnt think it was going to fit at all. However, after really forcing it in, I am able to get the porta filter into the machine. Also, it doesnt lock into the group head perpindicular to the machine, like it normally should. Instead, when I insert the portafilter into the machine, it only is able to turn about a quarter of the way to lock in.

The portafilter looks and feels

The portafilter looks and feels beautiful, but the handle can come loose from the metal section no matter how hard I tighten it. This portafilter doesn't fit as well in the group head as the stock ones that came with my A53. Given the price, I'd hoped for slightly better quality.

The handle is nice but

The handle is nice but the actual metal part looks like it was made in a high school shop class. Burrs and nicks on the metal where the bottom of the portafilter was cut. I just took the handle off and just used it for another portafilter. I liked it enough to just bite the bullet and keep it.

LEGIT I do wish the portafilter body was taller than the baslet, though. The triple basket protrudes a tiny bit further on the bottom, so it sometimes gets unseated when tamping

Walnut Portafilter

The look of this portafilter is aesthetically pleasing! It fits nicely in the hand and quality feels top notch. I would buy it again if I had to!

build quality is meh

It does its job of being a bottomless portafilter, and it easy to remove/insert baskets, which are the two most important things. The one issue I have with this item is that for its price, you would expect rather nice build quality. Unfortunately, the handle unscrews itself and the portafilter itself feels too light, even accounting for the difference in volume vs. a portafilter with a spout, I suspect that this comes from the handle. That's a shame because incorporating Walnut is in fact, the correct product choice. But it has to be done right, and unfortunately the current version is not good.

Good handle, lousy basket

Fits well in my Rancilio Silvia. Looks good and goes with my maple front kitchen. It’s a lighter weight portafilter which makes it comfortable. However, the basket it came with was basically useless. The flow rate through it was extremely restricted compared with other baskets I own. Upon inspection many of the basket holes looked ragged as if they were not punched or cut out correctly, and one hole in the middle was completely unpunched. I ended up using a Rancilio triple basket which fit and works as expected.

The weight is great, great

The weight is great, great feel when using it & pulls great shots. I use 18g of coffee per shot. The wood is beautiful, I got the walnut & it's a nice matte finish.

I'm glad I went with

I'm glad I went with this version of the wood portafilter instead of the version with the chrome tip. The handle has a really nice feel and the bubinga finish matches my knob set perfectly. It feels a little heavy on the basket side, even with a VST basket in there, and could be balanced/weighted a bit better.

Beautiful Craftsmanship

I purchased this portafilter in walnut to go with my Lelit Victoria and couldn’t be happier. The unique tapered design compliments the Victoria nicely and it seems to be of high quality, though only time will tell if it is truly as durable as it seems. As far as compatibility goes, it fits perfectly (perhaps better than stock). As soon as Clive receives their next shipment of spouted portafilters, I’m buying one immediately!

Beautiful for the first year.

Having walnut side panels and a matching walnut handle creates a beautiful contrast to the chrome and black on my Lucca. The handle is sturdy, and the taper aesthetically is quite nice. Unfortunately the finish is not up to the task. The area next to the chrome basket has failed leaving the wood exposed.
