I wanted a Profitec Move espresso machine and found two online vendors each with thousands of customer reviews. I was impressed by the consistently high praise for Clive Coffee's after-sale customer service, and uneasy about the other vendor's reputation in this area. I chose Clive, and I'm happy I did.

My Profitec had a QC defect that I failed to notice initially (a non-level group head, which caused the espresso to pool on one side of the basket), and within a month, one of the solenoid valves started to fail. I called Clive, opened a ticket, sent a few short videos, and within a day Clive offered to replace my unit. They emailed a return shipping label and instructions for draining the boilers and packing the unit for shipping.

The day I shipped my defective unit, Clive shipped the replacement instead of waiting for the returned machine to arrive. Days later, I received my new Profitec and, as expected, it works flawlessly.

Clive Coffee absolutely lives up to its reputation for exceptional customer service and I could not be happier with my decision to buy from Clive.

FYI, I can't imagine buying from anywhere but Clive, but regardless of where you buy your machine, save the box and all packing materials in case you need to return your machine for replacement or repair.

Online purchase and in-store pickup went smoothly. The location had easy access to street parking, and loading a giant espresso machine box into the vehicle was a breeze. Seriously, these are some heavy duty boxes they package up for shipping across the country.

Fast shipping

the upfront communications were quite good and helpful. However the communications and follow up after purchase have not been the best. For example, it was almost a week after receiving our GS3 that the Clive team reached out giving directions on how to "receive, inspect and begin using" the machine. Additionally, I was under the impression that after this purchase there would be additional personal follow up on usage, questions and classes...not the case.

As mentioned in my Philos review the Clive storefront and ease is much appreciated also the selection is most important to me! Thanks Clive will be checking back when I upgrade my espresso machine lol

Coffee enthusiast Mecca. The employees here are clearly coffee devotees. I was recently helped by Gunner, who has worked in coffee for over 15 years and helped me pick what grinder and espresso machine will work best for my setup at home.

If you aren’t someone who has worked in coffee or are not chronically online researchers, don’t worry because the folks here have all that knowledge. They’re not pushy and I never felt pressured to buy anything I wasn’t comfortable with.

Additionally, it’s difficult to express how helpful it is to have the warranty and after-purchase support this shop offers. Many coffee equipment shops are online centric and forget about you after you’ve spent your money and I haven’t experienced that with Clive.

Your customer service is outstanding. We had an issue with our first espresso machine and you made the exchange for a replacement easy and prompt. So easy to communicate with you and your staff was proactive throughout the process.
