This works great. Mileage may vary depending on the hardness of your water. I get 40l of good soft water from a 70l filter. After this, the performance degrades rapidly. Keep testing your water to make sure your machine is protected.

This is an absolute must-have

This is an absolute must-have for your Lelit machine (there are two sizes - you can check the manual to see which one fits yours). I change mine on my Mara X on a regular schedule. I've seen the insides of machines that skipped using them. Not pretty! Worth every penny - pick up a few so you have one on hand for a scheduled replacement.

This filter helps with the

This filter helps with the machine a bit, but does not replace the need to use soft water in your machine. Calcium will still show itself in your machine and you will need to do a descaling process if you choose to run hard water with this filter. I eventually ran into issues with the pump of my Lelit Bianca. Descaling the machine and replacing this filter solved my issues. In hindsight, replacing this filter alone might have been the main issue as the water reservoir of the machine had calcium build up and it might have been clogging the filter (which means the filter was doing i). There's videos online on how to "recharge" the ions by soaking the filter in salt water, but it doesn't perform well if you have rather hard water. I would recommend just swapping the filter out completely. If you're a pinch and waiting for a new filter, you could "recharge" the filter by soaking it in a salt water solution and use it temporarily.
