Nice heavyweight tamper
I bought this tamper for my husband for Christmas. Not knowing what size I was supposed to purchase. I ordered the 53. 3 or something like that, He loves the new tamper. He has a few tampers but he has said he likes the way it feels in his hands, he gets the perfect tamping with the new one. I'm so happy that my guess for a tamper turned out to be a winner.
My coffee improved with the Lucca tamper. The coffee puck is made better by the ideal diameter and the polished stainless steel surface. Easy to hold and press down. Glad that I stepped up my coffee equipment.
Perfect weight and feel.
The product is too narrow, more narrow than the plastic tamper that came with my Bezzera BZ10. I contacted customer support and was told I needed the larger size. I didn't even realize there were various sizes, and I figured the width of portafilters are all the same size. I had already paid $5 in shipping, and customer service started an exchange. But that meant I would have to pay another $5 to return and then $5 to ship the new one. So a total of $15 just in shipping, and I don't even know if the bigger size will fit! I have no way to measure in millimeters. So now I'm stuck with a product that won't function properly for our expensive machine.
