How it Works

Schedule

Select an available time on the calendar and fill out the repair form . You will receive a confirmation email of the booking date which will be added to your calendar.

Repair

When your machine is placed on the bench, the technician will do a full diagnostic of the issue or any maintenance that is recommended. The technician will then provide you with an estimate for completion of service.

Pickup

Once the repair is complete, your machine will be ready for pick up or will be carefully packaged for its return delivery to you. Enjoy!

Repair Details:


• Schedule: Service usually begins within two days of the drop off date, but timelines for repair will be communicated to you from the technician servicing the machine. Parts availability and severity of the service needed will affect the turnaround.

• Hourly rate: $120/hr, billed in 30-minute Increments (unless covered by warranty). *Tech Labor to be increased to $150/hr for appts on and after May 15th*

• What we repair: Machines and grinders that we sell.

What we do not repair: Machines and grinders that we do not sell or that have been modified (adding of a PID, etc.). Breville machines and grinders (please contact the manufacturer for warranty and repair support).

Tune-up Package Details:


If you'd like to take advantage of a tune-up package, please request which one you'd like us to perform on your intake form during the scheduling process. Packages are as follows:

  • General Tune-up: Standard group head gasket and dispersion screen replacement, vacuum breaker, general cleaning, and testing of all functions of the machine. $185**, price includes labor and parts.
  • Advanced Machine Tune-up: Usually, done within the 3-5yr period of a machine, but can vary by usage and water quality. This comes with all items in general: tune-up, safety valve, and expansion valve seat replacement, fill probe, temperature probe(s) and flowmeter cleaned (if applicable to the machine). $375**, price includes labor and any applicable parts.

Grinder Deep Clean + Dial-in: We remove the burrs, clean the grinder, and re-dial in (for applicable grinders). $185.

**Tune ups do not include La Marzocco Linea Mini or GS3. Please contact us prior to scheduling your tune up if you would like an estimate on servicing your machine.
Note: Any parts and labor outside the scope of the tune-up services will incur additional costs

Drop-off and Shipping Details:


• Please have your equipment dropped off the day prior to your appointment.

• You may drop it off up to two weeks in advance, Wednesday through Saturday, 10 am to 5 pm.

• If you are shipping your machine, please account for transit time.

• The customer is responsible for shipping costs associated with sending the machine to Clive as well as the return shipping (if repair is covered by warranty, return shipping is covered by Clive).

• The customer is responsible for damages incurred in shipping. We have draining and repackaging instructions for many machines. Original packaging is highly recommended.

• Insurance for shipping machines is strongly recommended in the event that the machine gets damaged on its way to Clive.

• Return shipping is not available for local drop-offs unless confirmed before the drop-off time.

• Warranty repairs will be shipped via FedEx Home Delivery at no charge upon completion of repair back to the customer.

• Billable repairs will be shipped with subsidized shipping that will be added to the final invoice.

Rescheduling, Cancellations, and No-Shows:


• Appointments can be rescheduled or canceled up to 24 hours before your scheduled appointment date. Please contact support@clivecoffee.com to cancel or reschedule. 

• If 24hr notice is not provided regarding your booking and the machine arrives after the appt date selected, your machine will be moved to the next available service date on the calendar.

Warranty:


• Repairs are warrantied for 30 days from the date the repair is completed. 

• The warranty covers the issue described or maintenance performed. New symptoms present within the 30 days of service are not covered under warranty. Any parts not related to the service performed are not covered under warranty.

• Any issues related to water quality, scale, damage or rendered defective as a result of an accident, abuse, misuse, lack of reasonable and necessary maintenance/cleaning, neglect, faulty installation, mishandling, line power surge, or any external causes are not covered under warranty.
