Wood Tamper

Looks and feels very high quality.

The tamper was a gift for my daughter’s boyfriend so I didn’t use it personally, but they both loved the weight and look of it. They said that the tamper that came with their coffee maker was not high quality like this one.

The wood grain looks amazing and the finish is smooth. Well balanced feel that i expect from a tamp in this price range. Only complaint is that i wish it fit a little bit tighter, i still get fines around the edges.

It's wood and metal! look beautiful. Much heavier than the tamper I had with our Lucca from Clive. (which was also a good tamper). Wanted the maple wood finish so have been upgrading our setup. It's great for what it is, but it is not a necessary item.

This tamper feels so silky in your hand as you mash a puck of freshly ground espresso into your portafilter. The bubinga perfectly matches the bubinga knob set I purchased for my M58. Loving it.

The tamper works well, however, the wooden handle has a small chip.

I bought the Bubinga 58.3 mm tamper. Very well made with just the right weighting. Bubinga is stunning. Perfect for my Rocket Giotto portafilter!

A beautiful tamper really adds to the morning coffee ritual

The weight, feel, fit, and finish of the wood tamper is perfect. I cannot imagine a better product for me. It is worth every penny.

It's weighted nicely and seems extraordinarily made. The Spalted Walnut looks much better in person than in the photographs on this site

Average tamper at a really high price, and it doesn't look like the pictures!

There's not a lot particularly technologically advanced about this tamper - it doesn't auto-level, it doesn't have force meters, or any of that stuff. What it does have? Pure luxury. It's beautiful to look at, feels good in the hand, and works like a precision machined tamper.

Best Tamper Ever Made!!

The walnut handle is beautiful and smooth. It feels great in the hand and it a pleasure to use. The base is nice with decent weight but it arrived with some tool marks on the groove around the circumference. It doesn't affect it's performance and I am sure it will weather and smooth itself out over time and use.

You can separate the handle from the base by unscrewing it. I found it separated a bit too easily and added some removable thread locker.

A beautiful tool, with a nice balance. I have small hands, but it doesn't feel bulky. Fits Rancilio's Miss Silvia well.

Happy with it

I've owned this tamper _„_‘_the 53mm LaSpaziale variety _„_‘_for a number of months now. From its first use, it felt familiar. It's comfortable, symmetrical, and beautifully finished. It appears though its construction and finish will last a very long time. I understand tampers can be a very personal item, and it's easy to see why after using this one. I don't have any interest in trying another.

This Tamper was a great step up from my previous 58mm Tamper. The Wood is beautiful and the design is stunning. Many family members have appreciated the quality and look of the tamper not knowing what it was. It fits nice and snug in my VST basket. Knowing the handle was handcrafted in Portland is a plus. Great tool and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys making espresso beverages.
