This was my first time with round filters; I'd used the square before. No functional difference, but it's nice that there's less excess paper. And it's easier to continually pour over because the square-filter "ears" don't poke out.

This is a beautiful pot, and the coffee really tastes good brewed in it. With 2 of us drinking coffee in the morning we need to make 2 pots! Not always enough time for that, so I am disappointed in that way. It can be overlooked because the coffee tastes so good.
