ECM Knock Box

It gets knocked around a lot. Sits there and does exactly what it is supposed to do. Never complains. Best part is my wife thinks it looks nice on the cabinet. That is serious considering she wanted me to put my espresso machine in the spare bedroom.

Another beautiful ECM product. Nice simple brushed stainless knock box. Has substantial stable weight to it. Convenient capacity for home use. Looks like laser etched ECM logo on front. Slight finish difference between knock box and portafilter holder. Happy knocker here!

Vert nice construction, thick rubber pads on the base dampen the knock from creating table sound and vibrations. The volume is excellent. Not bulky but holds a solid amount of grounds. I purchased this because I was emptying my previous one every couple days. I find this one can last closer to a week.

While a bit silly expensive, it's really the best knock box overr found and meets all my requirements for quality, space and looks.

Although I feel a bit ridiculous for having paid about $95 shipped for a metal container, there is no doubt that this is an excellent product. The construction is top notch metalwork and the knock bar fits tight in the unit. It is a really nice looking knockbox. Initially the unit bounced when struck with the portafilter but after a while this has calmed down. Perhaps the rubber feet have broken in some. It takes me about 2-3 whacks to drop the puck of coffee. The size of the unit is generous, larger than I expected. Very easy to use. Coffee making is now faster as I don't have to try to wander across the kitchen and back to get rid of the grounds on the edge of my trashcan (and it is breathing a sigh of relief from no longer being abused). Once a week or two I walk around my lawn with the knock box and crumble out the pucks into my lawn. Apparently it is good for increasing earthworm activity.

There's not a lot of engineering in something as simple as a knock-box. That said I love how well made this one is. It feels solid. Easy to clean. Looks great. Will last forever. Looks awesome next to my ECM Synchronika.

Best purchase. It looks great in the counter and so convenient. I can’t believe we lived so long without it. Love this one!

This is an attractive, well-built and sturdy knock box with plenty of capacity. It’s a product of simple design, made of a good gauge of stainless steel. The box is easy to clean, and works efficiently, without slipping or transferring much vibration to my work surface when I knock the porta-filter. Highly recommended!

This knock box works well and looks nice.

Heavy-duty with substantial weight that provides great stability. Although the brushed finish is nice, I wish it had the matching mirror finish of my Synchronika and V-Titan. Design-wise, I feel the knock bar should not be in the center, but rather offset towards the front allowing the puck to fall to the backside. Not a huge issue, but being centered more grounds wind up on top of the bar. The size seems right - not too big or small. Overall, another nice ECM product that has the look and feel of quality.
