The dosing funnel makes all the difference with this grinder. It actually keeps the coffee in the portafilter while grinding!!!

Fits perfectly and makes grinding directly into your portafilter mess free. No mess during the WDT process either. Magnets are strong enough to navigate your grinding and tamping stations

Works like a funnel with a notch in the side

In the end it is better than without, if you figure out how to use it. I tilt my portafilter way back while grinding to keep it from spilling out of the notch. Recommended but with a small learning curve.

The dosing funnel is a

The dosing funnel is a bit odd in that it has notches so it can slide up close to the grinder since you activate and stop the grind by pushing the portafilter against a button. This is like an afterthought to accommodate for a protrusion that doesn’t seem to have a purpose and would prevent a standard funnel without a notch from fitting well? The one I thought I was getting was the one shown in the picture - black mat. I received a chrome one but don't mind that since I can see residual grinds on it and can keep it cleaner....

What a godsend! I am

What a godsend! I am loving this. The Eureka Mignon is a pretty messy grinder as it has no catch tray. I bought a Bellezza Knock Drawer which helps by letting me brush the spilt coffee into it but it still would miss the box. This little device catches all the grinds! After grinding I leave it on when I start to tamp. Remove it, complete tamp and then onto the machine. I am giving it 4 stars because like every one has written the magnets could be stronger but I have not found that to be a hindrance for using it.

Magnet is not strong enough. Falls off of the portafilter. Will return.
