Great starter kit. I was worried the individual components would be low quality, but they aren’t. The scale shows an orange display on some of the product pages, but it’s actually a nicer white/blue, so they must have updated it. The tamper is super heavy with great fit. Nothing not to like here.

Everything in the package was a big help in the espresso process especially the scale. The only issue I have is with the size of the milk pitcher. A size bigger would have been a better fit.

Brewista Smart Scale Lacks Customer Service

Everything in the package deserves 5 stars, except the scale...

My initial impression of the Brewista Smart Scale II was that this was a decent quality scale. Reasonably fast to respond to changing weights, and the screen being illuminated upon power up was a plus too.

I bought this in December 2019. Now, in July 2021, the scale does is not functional. Instead of displaying the actual weight, it displays numbers in base 2 (i.e. numbers similar to computer memory numbers like 64, 256, 512, 1024, etc.) The warranty expired several months ago. I attempted to contact the manufacturer, but the phone numbers listed in the manual are disconnected. I emailed them through their website a few days ago with no response at time of writing.

A scale in the price range should come with better warranty and manufacturer support.

Great package

I opted for the espresso package since I did the only item I already had was a steaming pitcher. When my Lucca M58 machine shipped, Clive did not have the weigh scale so they shipped everything else. I received the weight scale about 2 weeks later. All the items are high quality and exactly as described. Since the Lucca M58 ships with a very nice tamper, I opted for the espresso package without tamper.

Great for any experience level

No longer a novice to espresso, I still find this a great little kit of necessities for any new or used machine. The pitcher is perfect for the traditional 5 oz cappuccino (you may also want a larger pitcher for big lattes). Love the corner tamper mat, and the knock box knocks it out of the park vs. my old ugly steam-tray style commercial knock box. The espresso scale is a new thing to me, and it is proving very useful for keeping tabs on overall shot quality… it’s amazing how an overly short shot can hide behind a robust layer of crema, but now I can see it happening and adjust my dose for the next shot as I dial in a new batch of fresh roasted beans. I use the scale on mode 5. The keypad conveniently overhangs the front of my drip tray, making it easier to lift on and off.
