I’ve had a couple of these for a year or so and been very pleased with their functionality, especially at the price. When one started to fail to hold a charge I contacted Clive and they processed an immediate replacement. That kind of customer service is very hard to find these days and a major reason I go to Clive first for all my espresso needs.

We have two homes and two scales.
If you're learning to pull your own espresso shots, buy an espresso scale for sure. Shot ratio and pull time, when measured, allows you to dial in your beans for the "best shot". Perfect size to sit on a drip tray, it's sexy looking - the rubber shield on top isn't absolutely necessary but is a very nice touch and very well artistically designed. Extremely accurate, but only a manual shot timer. Not sure about features as this is my first espresso scale, but for the price I'd expect automatic shot timing.
But taking a step back - maybe that'll pave my way to an upgrade! :-)

Works as expected. No instructions on how to change units, but easy enough to learn with a quick online search. It's a great size as a shot timer but too small to weigh a portafilter. Measurements are accurate and having a timer on the scale makes dialing in espresso so much easier.

Great little scale that has addresses some of the issue I had with a similar one from another known brand. Really enjoy the ON/OFF physical switch and overall interface. I got the white one and they numbers are still very visible. Overall happy with the purchase.

Look up the Maestri House Mini Coffee Scale on Amazon, it’s the same scale for $33. I’m guessing there’s dozens of versions of essentially the same scale, with a different paint job, for sale online for $20-$30.
For me it is a 5-star simplified scale to use with my Lucca espresso machine, which has a P. I. D. which works as auto timer. I do not need the auto-sense & tare functions. People whose machines don't time shots, might want a more automated model. For me, it is perfect.
How do I switch from grams to oz?
What a nice little scale at a reasonable price. Accurate and repeatable. Plenty thin to fit on a Rocket with a latte cup and portafilter. I wish it would respond more quickly - it's hard to tell if it didn't register the finger press because there is a 1-2 second delay. But you get used to it, and the touch display is very good. And last it would be nice if the instructions told you how to change the units displayed, but you can Google to find that.

My first espresso scale and it seems to work beautifully! I like the small size. Feels well built (hefty in a good way), and I appreciate the physical on/off switch and the auto-off. Zero's out quickly and seems very accurate. I also have no worries about it getting wet when using it for espresso shots. Great value!

Exactly what we were looking for! It’s simple, intuitive, and gives you the two pieces of info you need. Plus it’s a thinner profile so it fits more easily even using a taller cup. We had an acacia before and I love this so much more. Plus it’s even a better price!

I’m really impressed with this scale. It’s well-built, responsive and compact. I previously owned the Timemore Black Mirror and it felt very cheap (ie very plasticky). This one is more durable and feels premium. A couple minor flaws, though: one the rubber mat is not gripped (like an Acaia Peal). This means the mat slides around which can be a little frustrating. Two, the manual doesn’t tell you how to switch measurement scales. I accidentally ended up in Ounces and had to find a Seattle Coffee Gear review to figure out how to change it back to ml/g. You hit the Timer button quickly three times. All and all, an excellent scale but Clive/Lucca needs to update the manual with how to change measurements, and a gripped rubber mat would be a great future enhancement.
