Every two to three years

Every two to three years this rubber gasket is becoming less flexible, which means the brew or the steam boiler on my ECM Synchronika will start to leak. After experiencing such leaks I successfully replaced the gasket. Adding appropriate lubrication will help to keep this gasket flexible and less brittle with time. It is good to always have a spare gasket at home in case a leak is developing. The photos below show the old (black) and new (green) gasket and the bottom of the brew boiler where the gasket is installed between the heating element and the boiler.

Part arrived quickly and as described. Replacement for original service boiler gasket in ECM Synchronika (slow leak after 8 years of daily use). Installation was straight forward and successful. What more can I want?

For Profitec and ECM dual

For Profitec and ECM dual boiler owners it’s good to have one of these gaskets on hand. It’s only a matter of time before the installed gasket fails under the constant high temperatures.

The repair took over a month and it is still leaking in the same spot. We already had it dropped at Clive the previous month so two tries, 6 weeks with no machine and still unfortunately leaking

Solid gasket. Way better to put this one in for the old one, rather than smear the old one with room temperature vulcanizing silicone, which is what a prior technician did!

A must if you’re replacing

A must if you’re replacing the heating element on your Profitec or ECM machine. I replaced the steam boiler heating element on my Profitec Pro 600 and this was an OEM replacement part. Thanks to Clive Coffee for reminding me to purchase this!

Leaking boiler

I thought for sure the boiler was bad. Water was sitting on my counter every morning after using the ECM. I ordered a boiler but was told by the folks at Clive that it was the gasket not the boiler...... easy fix thanks Clive
