The relay was purchased because I expect it to burn out again and don't want to wait, as the last time it was back ordered and my machine was inoperable for 2 weeks. poor design by profitec requires me to keep one of these on hand. Clive Coffee and the manufacturer offer no solution to alleviate the poor design of my profitec 500 pro. Bad engineering/cost cutting and the fact that I'm on my third SSR in two plus years of ownership with a fourth in the drawer speaks for itself and the reason for One star rating "Terrible" review of my SSR purchase..

Unfortunately, the Profitec Pro 500 has a relay switch that has a short lifespan. This is probably the 3rd one since we’ve owned the machine (pre-2015), so it’s a 10-year old machine. Fortunately, it’s an easy fix and Clive Coffee has always had this particular part in stock at all times. Thanks for keeping your website up to date with inventory.

Profitec pro 500 stopped heating.

Profitec pro 500 stopped heating. Contacted Clive support who requested some information which I was able to supply. Clive sent out the solid state relay; I replaced the part and have been drinking my (on average) two lattes a day since.
Quick response, problem fixed in a few days, no BS. As designed.

Simple fix for my ECM

My steam boiler started giving me trouble and with a bit of research was able to see this part was not functioning properly (light on the SSR unit was not responding). Took about 20-30 minutes to pop open the panel, replace, and get it back together and we are back in action.

I got this to replace the failing SSR in my Profitec 500 that was making my steam wand not steam and so gave me a sad.
The process of swapping it out benefits from having some long nose pliers to pull out and replace the spade connectors.

Typical electronic part these days

First I will say I love Clive Coffee and their customer support and I love my 3+ year old Profitec Pro 600. Unfortunately I've experienced 2 faulty SSRs in that time. The first was warrantied and the second I paid for, but Clive shipped for free.

My 5 year old ECM

My 5 year old ECM Mechanika V Slim was not heating up enough anymore to pressure. It turned out it was due to a faulty SSR. I ordered a new SSR from Clive Coffee and replaced it. My espresso machine works again like new!

My machine stopped making steam and I contacted Clive for help fixing it. Zach was great! He told me what to look for and send him a video. He suggested replacing the SSR and told me how to do it. Now it works great. I think Clive has the best customer service in the business.
