Quick Mill Safety Valve and Vacuum Breaker

Part worked as desired but it would be good if the Clive instructions indicated that a PTFE tape might need to be applied to the elbow to get a good seal. Tech support helped me with that after I completed the replacement.

Perfect fit, great installation video, and now my M58 Luca is working perfectly again. I had a spare zip tie already to replace the old one, but it would be really classy if a zip tie was included with the valve, since this could save a trip to the hardware store.

They do not include the lock nut by choice, and now trying to remove the one from the old VB it stripped out and I have no solution so my machine continues on week 3 of being a paperweight. So frustrating.

I had a leak in my espresso machine and Clive coffee support were excellent at identifying the issue via email and even pointed me to a handy video showing how to fix it. The repair was very quick and easy and my leak has been resolved.

Part functions as expected. Replacement in quick mill profiles machine. Probably 4 years old with low utilization. Too early to go bad IMO

Understanding what this valve does is above my education grade, so when I skeptically turned to Clive website one weekend to find a solution for an intermittent gurgling sound from my three year old M58, got tangled up in a chat with Amanda, ordered something, and then a few days later replaced this brass thingy, I was up for a pleasant surprise. Have been enjoying the silence since. And yes, one can end a sentence with a preposition.

Easy to install, and took care of my leaky problem. Seems like this part will need to be replaced every 3 years or so. There was a very helpful video online that guided me through the part swap. Took about 5 min to do. The only thing that could make this better is to include a couple of those small zip ties. They will need to be replaced at the same time. Also one of the rubber hoses broke at the end. Luckily it was long enough to trim it back a half inch or so and still make it fit. But next time, the little rubber hose might need to be swapped out too.
