Description

A kit to upgrade the pre-existing PID and safety valve in an ECM Synchronika Espresso Machine. The new Synchronika PID allows the steam boiler to heat up to 272 degrees Fahrenheit. This means the steam boiler will be able to deliver steam power to rival the largest steam boilers.

The updated PID also has an ECO mode function that stops the machine from maintaining its max temperature when unused for long periods of time. Follow our instructions here showing how to install these parts.

Works as advertised. Much faster

Works as advertised. Much faster recovery time for the steam boiler and can now handle multiple drinks in rapid succession.

Makes steam performance what it should have been

Without this upgrade the steam performance isn't close to any machine in this category that I've seen, in fact it's weaker than machines costing MUCH less. Especially if you don't "purge" and WAIT for the pressure to come back up before you steam. So, from that perspective I'd rate this upgrade 5 stars - if you steam then you want this.

However, I think this "upgrade" is really a "fix" for a bug/bad PID setting that can't be changed/bad design in a ~$3K machine. Because this isn't offered free (even within the warranty period) I'd give this 1 star.

I do like the folks at Clive, you'll want to watch their video for installation, but I'd watch the one at whole latte love too - their process has you remove the water tank. This makes it a lot easier to remove and replace the screws holding the boiler.

Great Performance. Stable steam power until final milk temp. Also steam pressure recovary is quick.

This is by far the best upgrade to ECM Synchronika ever. This upgrade enable the steam pressure to go up to 2 bar and give it an excellent steam power comparable to La marzocco's GS3. Prosumer espresso machine price but Commercial espresso machine quality power.
