Grown by 85 women farmers of the Asobombo association near the stunning Salto de Bordones waterfall at 1600-2000 meters elevation, this washed lot showcases Caturra and Castillo varieties at their crowd-pleasing best. The result? A remarkably easy-drinking cup that reveals something new with every sip—tangerine brightness, milk chocolate richness, toffee sweetness, and a subtle cherry finish that lingers just long enough to make you reach for another.
The Asobombo cooperative represents nearly 170 young producers—almost half of them women—who are reshaping Huila's coffee landscape by blending traditional customs with modern agricultural innovation. The premiums these 85 women earn from their specialty-grade coffee are reinvested directly into farm infrastructure and processing experimentation, creating a ripple effect that benefits over 300 family members and strengthening their community for generations to come.
