This is a nice funnel

This is a nice funnel and it matches my coffee bar aesthetic. However it is aluminum and while trying to knock out residual ground coffee from the grinder's cup, it got dinged - small indents on the edges. Not a functional problem, but not an industrial solution.

A clean work area attests to its working perfectly. Not a ground of coffee escapes. (I did get another one as a gift. Not sure how it will fit his set up. )

Nice funnel weight and a

Nice funnel weight and a quality build. The funnel sits on top of the portafilter rim and is held in place by magnets. The opening is wide enough to expose the entire basket. You could, but probably should not, tamp through the funnel. The effectiveness of the magnets depends upon the portafilter basket that you are using. Some of my baskets have a fantasticly strong grip (e. g. hold upside and shake without funnel falling off) and some can only be tipped sideways before the funnel would fall off. Meets all of my needs and looks great doing it.

Works just as it should!

Works just as it should! Grounds go into the basket and not under the funnel or stuck to the side of it. The magnets adhere well to my VST baskets. For those unaware, the coating on IMS precision baskets block magnets from adhering well.

This is the cat’s meow.

This is the cat’s meow. Can’t believe I waited so long to get one. Because of a mistake on my order, Clive’s support had to bail me out. They were great.

I was concerned this funnel had to much in height. It’s perfect, and provides less mess in my daily workflow.

If you have a bottomless

If you have a bottomless 58mm portafilter , this is a must have. My ports filter would not hold without it.

So simple, so great!

While we thought the funnel would be a help, it has turned out far better than anticipated. It allows us to use a couple grams more coffee without overflowing at all, give an efficient shake to settle grounds, then by keeping the funnel in place, direct our tamp straighter. All while being so much neater - no spilled grounds.

Does not fit

The description says it fits all 58mm portafilers but it does not fit the La Marzocco one. Not the end of the world but it ended up being a waste of 32 bucks.

It works! Finally, no spilled coffee from the grinder when filling the portafilter. The magnets holding it to the portafilter are weak, but they’re not really necessary.

Not Great

I bought this to replace a cheaper non-magnetic metal funnel I'd purchased for 53 mm Lucca A53 mini. The funnel is a very solid piece of metal, but it is not machined as tightly as I was hoping for my portafilter. I expected the magnets to be stronger than they are. It's just a little awkward and clumsy, and not the quality I would have expected. I did return it.

Not Great

I'm disappointed in the product. The magnets are very weak, and it is not machined as closely as I would have expected to fit the Lucca a53 mini portafilter. The actual flow minus the two aforementioned items does seem to be very solid construction, but it misses the mark. It does not provide enough of a benefit over the cheap metal funnel I'm currently using.

I like this dosing funnel.

I like this dosing funnel. It is wide enough so that I can get my WDT tool across the entire portafilter coffee bed. Better than the previous dosing ring I got from a random supplier.

Nice funnel with a small defect

I received this dosing funnel along with my Eureka Libra grinder. The funnel is well made but unfortunately one of the magnets fell out of the dosing ring on the very first use. I was able to re-glue it using super glue. It's been working fine ever since. I was a little surprised at the overall quality control from Eureka.

What I do appreciate is that the dosing funnel sits on top of a 58mm basket allowing the grinds to fill edge to edge. Some lesser quality funnels leave a gap in the basket around the perimeter because they actually sit IN the basket. This can possibly create a weak spot in the puck leaving it susceptible to channeling.

This would be a 5 star item if it were not for the loose magnet.

Beautiful Piece but Poor Quality

I received my Eureka dosing funnel as part of my Eureka Libra grinder purchase.
The ring is beautifully designed and the magnetic base holds securely to most portafilter baskets. Unfortunately my E&B Ultra Fine basket is made of materials that do not allow for a secure connection with magnets. But that is of course has nothing to do with the quality of this item.
When using the dosing funnel for the very first time, this morning, one of the magnets fell out of the ring. I'm sure I can fix it with a drop of super glue, but it both surprised me and was disappointing. I hope this information finds it's way to the proper people so this quality control issue can be addressed.

As a side note, the Eureka Libra grinder is a beautiful piece of equipment and thus far has not disappointed!
