Connor Riley, the CEO, and co-founder of Mistobox, will join Clive Coffee’s management team and retain a significant equity stake in the combined business.
Adam Raper, CEO of Clive Coffee, said, “We have been working closely with Mistobox for years to offer our customers a frictionless way to enjoy the best of specialty roasters at home. This acquisition simply makes it formal. We are excited to welcome Connor and his team to Clive and fully expect this partnership to lead to a far better customer experience as a full-service retailer.” “This acquisition allows Clive to come full circle for our customers,” added Ben Guiles, the head of R&D at Clive. “We are working on allowing these coffee enthusiasts a way to purchase the coffee they love directly from our site, their phones, and even the new LUCCA grinders. You can expect that this is just the beginning.”
Connor Riley, who started the business eight years ago, stated, “Clive is the perfect fit for the Mistobox brand and product. Their commitment to customer service and technology will allow Mistobox to ensure no one runs out of coffee again. We’re also thrilled that our roaster partners will be able to expand to a whole new group of espresso enthusiasts. It’s a win-win.”
Mistobox will join Clive Coffee, and it’s two other business lines: LUCCA Espresso, a leading espresso machine and grinder designer and manufacturer; and Coffee School, the first home-barista focused education platform for coffee.
